Ford

Since 2011, the Ford Motor Company has trusted Cyrus Highsmith’s Antenna as one of its primary corporate typefaces across various media. After an intensive period working on the superfamily Benton Sans, Highsmith yearned to design something with a stronger personality—more of a racehorse than a workhorse. He experimented with tempo, forging connections between inside and outside and foregrounding the difference and repetition of countershapes. The result was Antenna, a lively family in four widths (each in seven weights with matching italics), which Ford continues to use both for print collateral and on the web—and around the world, thanks to the family’s extensive language support and localized forms. There is indeed something for everyone here.
